Puri: A person died and five others were injured in lighting strikes at different places under Delang block in Puri district on Friday.
Khetrabasi Saley of Mudapada village was killed after the tractor he was riding was struck by lightning at Kalupada Chhak. Ashok Mohammad of Guachowka and Himanshu Chandra Das hailing from Kalupada were injured in the incident.

Similarly, Usharani Rath, a resident of Trilochanpur village, Madan Mohan Routray of Tigiria and Debashree Matha, a native of Baliukna village, sustained injuries in lightning strikes, reports said.
