Bhubaneswar: Ten employees of the Odisha’s Health and Family Welfare Department have reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.
The department at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar plays a pivotal role in Odisha’s battle against the virus.
According to sources, 20 employees had undergone COVID-19 test after a finance official of the department tested positive on August 1. The results of 10 in the post of SO, ASO and Desk Officer were then found to be positive.
All infected staffers have been asked to stay in home isolation.
The department has also decided to conduct COVID-19 test on other employees, the sources added.
