Angul: The antigen test of 10 students of Girls High School at Balipata in Odisha’s Angul was found to be positive on Tuesday.
“Swab samples of those found infected have been sent for the RT-PCR test,” informed Angul collector Siddharth Shankar Swain.
According to sources, some hostel boarders showed COVID symptoms during the routine health screening. Following this, 65 samples were tested and 10 among them were found infected, sources said.
“The students have been kept in isolation in separate rooms on the school premises and being provided the required treatment,” the collector said.
Samples of a few other contacts have also been sent for the test. Contact tracing has been initiated, he added.
