Berhampur: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday inaugurated 10 ‘transformed schools’ at Hinjilicut in the second phase of the high school transformation programme under the 5T Initiative.
“The students of Odisha are no less than anyone in terms of ability. When provided appropriate facilities and opportunities, they can create history,” the CM said.
The newly-inaugurated transformed schools include Brundaban Nayak Smruti Vidyapeeth of Sasan Ambagam Panchayat; Kumarpani High School of Kumar Pani Panchayat; Government UG High School, Sapuapalli of Darubhadra Panchayat; Lanjipalli High School of Dhantara Panchayat; Grama Panchayat High School of Sahapur Panchayat; Karadakana High School of Karadakana Panchayat; Bhagabati Vidyapeeth of Burupada Panchayat and Saheed High School of Takarada Panchayat.
While 50 schools have already been transformed here and as many will witness a complete overhaul of infrastructure in five more phases.
In the first phase, 1,070 government schools in the state will be transformed with modern facilities like smart classrooms, e-library cum reading rooms, modern science laboratory, hygienic toilets, safe drinking water and sports infrastructures.
