Bhubaneswar: Taekwondo prodigy Advik Samarpit Sahoo has done his country, state and school proud by bagging bronze medal at the 10th Asian ITF Taekwondo Championship.
The 10-year-old class IV student of SAI International School won the laurel in Individual Sparring category for 8-10 year olds (50 kg).
Over 2,000 students from 21 countries took part in the championship, held at Bengaluru’s Koramangala Indoor Stadium from August 19 to 25.
“Advik’s Bronze Medal win is a shining example of dedication and passion. We’re beaming with pride! Congratulations to him and his family. We wish him continued success,” said SAI International chairperson Dr Silpi Sahoo.
Advik’s achievement is an inspiration to young athletes across the country, and he is sure to be a role model for aspiring Taekwondo champions.
