11 ATM Looters Nabbed In Rourkela
Rourkela: Police on Wednesday arrested eleven ATM looters in Rourkela.
Those arrested hail from Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
Three cars, cash to the tune of Rs 4 lakh, more than 50 stolen ATM cards and a swipe machine were seized from the looters’ possession.
According to police sources, these persons used to break open ATMs using gas cutters at different places in Rourkela and other parts of the state.
On June 25, a group of unidentified miscreants had looted cash worth over Rs 5 lakh from a State Bank of India (SBI) ATM located at Haladiapada in Ganjam district.
In another incident that took place in the district the same day, the looters failed to steal cash from another ATM at Gopalpur junction here.
