Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll in Odisha mounted to 2,054 on Saturday with 11 more patients succumbing to the virus in the last 24 hours
According to Health Department sources, four deaths were reported from Bhubaneswar (Khurda district), two from Sundargarh, and one each from Boudh, Kalahandi, Koraput, Rayagada and Puri districts.
The deceased were identified as:
1. A 79 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Neuroendocrine tumour of Stomach with epigastric nodes.
2.A 63 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension & Chronic Kidney Disease.
3.A 52 years old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
4.A 32 years old male of Bhubaneswar.
5.A 75 years old female of Boudh district who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease
6.A 36 years old male of Kalahandi district.
7.A 60 years old female of Koraput district.
8.A 30 years old male of Puri district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
9.A 82 years old male of Rayagada district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.
10.A 52 years old female of Sundargarh district.
11.A 62 years old male of Sundargarh district.
With this, the toll in the state has mounted to 2,054.
Odisha on Saturday saw a massive surge in new COVID-19 cases with 10,413 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Two districts – Khurda and Sundagarh – have alone reported 2896 cases.
