Jajpur: At least 12 people were injured, after an auto rickshaw in which they were travelling was hit by a dumper on National Highway-20 near Chandama bypass in Jajpur district on Sunday.
The victims were rushed to Jajpur road hospital for treatment. Three of them who sustained serious injuries were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
Some eyewitnesses claimed that the accident took place after the driver of the dumper lost control over the vehicle either due to over-speeding or a brake failure.
