Sambalpur: A 120-bed COVID Hospital started functioning at VIMSAR, Burla from Wednesday.
The hospital has 20 ICU beds and all necessary medical facilities for other beds.
Besides, a 70-bed hospital at Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital in Koraput has also started functioning.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said the hospitals will treat serious patients in western and southern Odisha regions.
