Bhubaneswar: SAI International here on Wednesday hosted the 6th edition K-12 Science and Technology fest SAITED 2022 with the theme, ‘Transcending Every Dimension’.
The day-long event was managed by the students of Class XI from the science stream with handholding support from mentors.
Chief guest Chairman, CEPTAM DRDO, Appavuraj Ramachandran declared the event open for all and delivered the Ted talk post the inauguration ceremony, which saw children from Pratibha Ashram a childcare home for the homeless presented a mesmerizing opening dance.
“There is a lot to emulate from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, his determination, high moral values, simplicity, his vision, and above all his love for the nation. If children adopt these values, then they can achieve any goal they set,” he said.
A crime forensic workshop was conducted by Bhubaneswar DCP Pratik Singh at the event, which included a gamut of activities and workshops related to science and technology.
A Med Talk Post Covid Health Analysis” was held by Chief Operating Officer at Modern Health Care LCC, from OMAN, Muscat Dr Sambit K Das, a Spine Surgeon based in New Delhi Dr Kalidutta Das, Consultant Pulmonology and Critical Care at Ashwini Hospital from Cuttack Dr Sampat Dash, and Dr Amrit Pattojoshi from the Department of Psychiatry, Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital, Bhubaneswar.
This year’s event saw over 631 students from 15+ schools from across the state showcasing more than 120 projects at the science exhibition. Schools under Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan also participated with their project on ‘Global Neural Network for the Treatment of Breast Cancer’ and ‘Technological Innovation for Eco System and Health of Iconic OAV’. There were also projects from DM School, St. Xavier’s Kedargouri, St. Xaviers Higher Secondary School, Cuttack, DAV, Chandrashekharpur, Kendriya Vidyalaya 1, ODM Global School, ODM Public School, Prabhujee English Medium School, Mother’s Public School, Future Bhubaneswar School, SAI International Residential School, and SAI International School.
Students were felicitated during the closing ceremony. The event culminated with a stand-up comedy performance by Sahil Shah.

Every child is a leader and is innovative, we as facilitators give wings to their critical thinking abilities, creative minds, and scientific temperament by holding events like SAITED,” said Chairperson, SAI International Education Group, Silpi Sahoo.
This school-based science and technology festival, a brainchild of the Founder-Chairman of SAI International Education Group, Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, was started in 2016.
