Ganjam: Ganjam district reported 50 new coronavirus positive cases on Friday, taking the district’s tally to 1138.
Among them, 13 are corona warriors with eight from Aska, three of Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) and one each from Kodala and KS Nagar, Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange tweeted.
The positive cases with travel history include two from Mumbai and one each from Surat and Pune. They are the residents of Kukudakhandi (2), Rangeilunda (1), and Surada (1).
The remaining 33 are contact cases. These have been reported from Aska (2), BeMC (3), Chhatrapur (1), Khallikote (2), Kodala (5), Kukudakhandi (1), KSNagar (15), Purushottampur (2), and Sanakhemundi (2).
All the affected have been shifted to the COVID hospital, the collector added.
With eight deaths and 768 recoveries, Ganjam now has 312 active cases.
