Khurda: More attendees of the Tablighi Jamaat at Nizamuddin in New Delhi, which is being considered as a hotspot for spread of coronavirus, have been identified in Odisha.
The Khurda district administration on Thursday said that 13 persons from the district took part in the religious congregation earlier last month.
Briefing the media here, Khurda collector Sitanshu Kumar Rout said of the 13 persons, seven are from Jatni and three each from Tangi and Khurda.
“Nine are kept at the quarantine centre in New Delhi and one at a hospital at Kishanganj in Bihar while the remaining three persons, who have returned to Khurda, have been admitted to hospital’s isolation ward. Their blood and swap samples were sent to AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, on Wednesday for the test,” he added.
