Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police on Friday seized foreign liquor and arrested two persons in this connection at Master Canteen Square in the Odisha capital.
The accused persons have been identified as Susanta Kumar Rout and Umashankar Senapati. They are living at Jagamara area here under Khandagiri police limits.
According to sources, the police detected one person with on a scooty with foreign liquor during patrolling in the afternoon in the Master Canteen area. On verification, he could not produce any document. Hence the police seized the foreign liquor.
During investigation, Rout and Senapati were arrested and 140 foreign liquor bottles were seized from their possession.
They were forwarded to judicial custody on the same day.
