Bhubaneswar: Around 1500 students who had passed out from different institutes of the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) in Bhubaneswar over the last two decades will be coming together for a ‘Grand Home Coming’ in the university campus on December 21.
The students, spread across the globe, have been engaged in varied professions including academics, industry, business, healthcare and politics.
Two of the prominent former students of the university will be the chief guest and guest of honour at the gathering, Susmita Panda, president of the Alumni Association, said.
The former students will catch up with their classmates in their respective institutes in the morning and all of them will congregate in the SOA auditorium, Campus 2 in the afternoon.
SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Dean (Students Welfare) and Dean (Alumni) Prof Jyoti Ranjan Das and Director, Industry Engagement and Corporate Relations, Ripti Ranjan Dash will be present. Deans and senior professors of each institute will also attend the gathering.
