Bhubaneswar: The corona positive tally in Odisha touched 2104 on Monday with 156 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours.
This is the highest-ever single-day spike in COVID-19 cases in the state, which had seen a record 129 fresh cases the previous day.
Kendrapara reported the highest 50 cases followed by Cuttack (20), Ganjam (17), Jagatsinghpur (14), Kandhamal (9) and Bhadrak (7).
Among the fresh cases, 153 have been detected in quarantine centres while three are local contacts, the Health Department sources said.
