16 Fire Service Personnel Among 108 New COVID-19 Cases In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 108 new corona positive cases in the last 24 hours, taking the affected tally to 4163 on Tuesday.
The I&PR Department informed that 95 of these cases have been detected in various quarantine centres and the remaining 13 during contact tracing.
According to Health Department sources, Malkangiri reported the highest of 21 new cases, followed by Puri (15), nine each of Kendrpada and Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam (8), seven each of Khurda and Gajapati, Keonjhar (5), Balasore (4), Sundargarh (2) and one each of Angul, Cuttack, Kalahandi, Bargarh and Balangir.
Among them are 16 Fire Service personnel, who had returned to Odisha from West Bengal after restoration duty post-Cyclone Amphan.
With 11 deaths and 2854 recoveries, Odisha now has 1,295 active cases.
