Cuttack: The village in Cuttack district, which was declared containment zone recently, has reported 18 more COVID-19 positive cases.
According to official sources, 363 villagers of Kakudia village under Narsinghpur block of the district had undergone test for COVID-19 on Tuesday. Of them, 18 people have tested positive.
But the symptoms of COVID-19 have not been identified among the villagers who have tested positive for the disease, Narsinghpur BDO said. However, local police and administration officials are camping in the village to keep a watch on the situation, he added. They are also convincing the villagers having symptoms to go for the test.
After six persons of the village tested positive for COVID-19, it was declared containment zone on December 27.
