Sambalpur: Fourth phase of first instalment of Rs 5,000 will be credited to bank accounts of over 18 lakh women beneficiaries on Saturday, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida informed on Thursday.
The money will be disbursed during a grand programme scheduled at Jajpur, which will take the total number of beneficiaries to 98 lakh.
“Of 3.38 lakh applicants, 59,000 have been given NPCI clearance. I think we have to personally approach the remaining applicants since the CM has categorically stated that no eligible beneficiary should be left out of the scheme. They will receive both the first and second instalment money on March 8, the International Women’s Day,” she told reporters.
Parida, who also holds the Women and Child Development portfolio, further stated that Subhadra Yojana is aimed at financially empowering women. “This is not just a flagship programme, rather an attempt to help women turn entrepreneurs,” she added.
