Dhenkanal: Following the detection of 19 new cases, the Dhenkanal administration on Sunday decided to impose a three-day shutdown in Kamakhyanagar NAC, starting Monday (July 10).
Intensive contact tracing will be carried out in the NAC during the shutdown. Contacts of the confirmed and suspected cases will be line-listed, tracked and kept under surveillance at home for 14 days, an order issued by the district collector said.
Only these activities will be allowed during this period.
Violators will be taken to task in accordance with the law, the order added.
The Kamakhyanagar NAC was earlier shut for three days, from August 3 to August 5 to check local transmission of COVID-19 amid the rising cases.

The district administration had also declared a three-day shutdown in Bhuban NAC from August 5 after more than 40 COVID-19 cases were detected from the locality.
