COVID-19 Outbreak: This NAC In Odisha To Be Shut For 3 Days

Dhenkanal: The district administration on Sunday announced a shutdown in Kamakhyanagar NAC from August 3 to August 5 to contain the spread of  COVID-19.

According to the official notification, four positive cases were detected in the NAC in the last three days. Many people in the area had come in contact with these patients during active contact tracing. “Hence to contain local transmission of COVID-19 and keeping in view the rising cases of COVID-19, it is essential to take stricter precautionary measures,” it said.

The notification further said that there will be intensive contact tracing in Kamakyanagar and contacts of the confirmed and suspected cases listed, tracked and kept under surveillance at home for 14 days.

Active surveillance will start on August 3 and completed by August 5, it added.

Dhenkanal district has so far reported 358 COVID-19 cases.
