Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital reported 198 more COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which pushed the affected tally to 5487.
Among them, 104 are quarantine and 94 local contact cases.
While 28 cases have been reported from different slums of the city, seven more infected persons are employees of a security agency.
Four policemen, two employees of a hotel, one each from a media house and private hospital are among the quarantine cases, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) tweeted.
Five had travel history outside the state.
On the other hand, 132 more patients have recovered from the infection.
With 27 deaths and 3567 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 1887 active cases.
