Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has identified 2.66 lakh ineligible KALIA (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) beneficiaries so far, Agriculture Minister Arun Kumar Sahu said on Thursday.
After presiding a review meeting on KALIA, the minister said that about 51 lakh beneficiaries were included in the scheme. Of them, the government has completed the verification of 36.88 lakh applicants and 2.66 lakh beneficiaries were found ineligible.
He further stated that the verification of the lists of KALIA beneficiaries will be completed at the panchayat and block levels by August 27 and at the district level by August 31. A final decision will be taken after the verification process is completed, he added.
