Ganjam: Police seized 20 quintals of rice and two quintals of wheat given under PDS (Public Distribution System) and arrested two brothers for alleged black-marketing in Ganjam district on Friday.
The accused were identified as Santosh Kumar Patra and Bauri Patra.
According to sources, Tarasingi police raided the brothers’ godown at Gayaganda village and seized the rice and wheat worth around Rs 60,000.
The accused were allegedly involved in buying ration under PDS scheme from beneficiaries and resold them later at higher prices.
