Bhubaneswar: Vibrant celebrations over two days, December 20 and 21, marked the 6th Founder’s Day of SAI International Residential School (SIRS).
The celebrations, around the theme of ‘Dashavatar’ started with an athletics meet.
Chief guest Brijesh Kumar Rai, DIG and Additional Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar, inaugurated the sports meet and highlighted the role of sports and games in a student’s life.
The sports meet featured track and field events — 110m hurdles, boys’ and girls’ 100m, boys’ and girls’ relay races, and 400m — aerobics and yoga drills.
The presence of Houda El Aisati, a renowned basketball player from Morocco, inspired the participants who interacted with a distinguished personality.
Day 2 of the celebrations included a meeting between parents and teachers, exhibitions of English and Science projects, a cultural programme, Founder’s Trophy and academic excellence awards.
“SAI International provides a nurturing environment for tomorrow’s leaders by empowering children to showcase their greatest talents. Our founder Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo set the path for children’s holistic development in all spheres. We keep up his inspirational work, seeing our pupils achieve academic and athletic success. I wish the children of SAI International the very best in all their future undertakings since they are well known for their academic excellence and moral principles,” said SAI International Education Group chairperson Dr Silpi Sahoo.

Our approach is holistic, encompassing academic, spiritual, physical, emotional, and social development through a variety of extracurricular activities,” said Amitabh Agnihotri, Headmaster of SIRS.
