Balasore: The special task force (STF) of the Crime Branch seized 2 kg of brown sugar and arrested three persons from Jaleswar Bazaar in Balasore on Thursday.
The accused have been identified as SK Sabjan, Birendranath Sahoo, and Kamal Lochan Das of Jaleswar area.
A team of STF from Bhubaneswar raided Jaleswar Bazaar following a tip-off and seized 2.066 kg of brown sugar from the peddlers.
Further investigation is on.
Since 2020, the STF in the special drive against narcotic drugs has seized more than 32 kg of brown sugar/heroin and more than 66 quintals of ganja, besides arresting over 100 drug peddlers.
