Bhadrak: Two persons were killed after their scooter was hit by a bus near Kamaria Chhak on the Bhadrak-Chandbali road under in Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Golak Das (55) and Daitari Puhana (42), both residents of Balichaturi village.
As per sources, a private bus from Chandbali was proceeding to Bhadrak when it collided head-on with the scooty carrying the two victims near Kamaria Chhak under the jurisdiction of Pirhat police station. The victims were coming from the opposite direction towards Chandbali. Both reportedly died on the spot.
Following the mishap, locals stopped the bus and informed the police. The driver reportedly fled the scene. Pirhat police reached the site and launched an investigation into the incident.
