Berhampur: Two youths died on the spot as their motorcycle hit a utility pole near Bania Chikili Road in Khallikhote of Odisha’s Ganjam district on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Pintu Pradhan and Ganesh Pradhan of Kalinjipalli village in Chikili panchayat of the district. Khallikote police have seized the motorcycle and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
According to sources, Pintu and Ganesh were among three youths who were returning home after attending a marriage function at Bania when the rider lost control of the two-wheeler and hit a utility pole.
The locals rushed them to a nearby health facility where Pintu and Ganesh were declared dead.
