2 killed, six injured in Pipili road accident

Pipili: Two persons were killed while six others suffered critical injuries when the SUV in which they were travelling rammed into a road divider at Daisipatna Square of Pipili in Puri district on Sunday.
The deceased were residents of Rajkanika in Kendrapada district.
“The accident took place after the driver of the SUV, which was heading towards Puri from Kendrapada, lost control over the vehicle due to over speeding. The vehicle has been seized and those injured have been admitted to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar. We are trying to establish contact with the owner of the vehicle and nab the driver, who fled the spot immediately after the accident”, a police officer said.
