Boudh: In a major success in anti-naxal operation, security personnel have unearthed two Maoist dumps and seized a large cache of explosives and other articles in Odisha’s Boudh district.
The operation was carried out jointly by the Special Operations Group (SOG) and the District Voluntary Force (DVF) in Kanapa and Kuakumuda areas under the jurisdiction of Manamunda police station in the district following a tip-off.
Sources said the seized materials include seven detonators, electric wires, mobile phones, mobile chargers and other Maoist articles.
The operation was considered a significant blow to the outlawed Maoist outfit, which has been active in the region for several years.
As per information, Maoist organisation’s KKBN Division has been operating in Boudh district and nearby areas for quite some time. The security personnel have been conducting operations in the area to flush out the Maoists and restore peace in the region.
