Bhawanipatna: Two minor boys died due to drowning in a village pond in Odish’s Kalahandi district on Saturday.
As per reports, the minor boys were identified as 6-year-old Asman Nayak, son of Suresh Nayak and Santanu Nayak, son of Ishawr Nayak of Duresapadar village under Thuamul Rampur block of the district.

The two boys had gone to take bath in the pond outside the village in the afternoon. As they did not return home for a long time, their families went in search of them. Later, some villagers found their bodies floating in the pond and informed the families.
They also informed the Thuamul Rampur police station about the incident. But the police had not reached the village, locate in a remote area, till the report was filed.
