2 Minor Children Of A Family Die Of ‘Food Poisoning’ In Odisha’s Ganjam

Berhampur: Two children of a couple died reportedly due to food poisoning in Ganjam district on Tuesday morning.

According to sources, 4-year-old Priyanshi Maharana and her two-year-old brother Rudra Maharana along with their mother Sunita Maharana of Gadahuma village under Rambha police limits started vomiting after taking dinner on Monday.

They went to local hospital where a doctor checked them. After taking the medicines prescribed by the doctor, all three went to sleep. But they started vomiting again on Tuesday morning and were admitted to Chhatrapur sub-divisional hospital.

While the two children died in the hospital, their mother was shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur. Sunita’s condition was stated to be critical.
