Bhubaneswar: Two persons were killed and 5 others injured (all from Odisha) in a road accident in West Bengal on Sunday.
As per reports, all seven persons were going in an SUV from Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district to Ranigunj in West Bengal on some work. As they reached Narayangarh, their vehicle collided with a truck on National Highway 16 in the afternoon.
While two persons died on the spot, 5 others sustained critical injuries. Following the accident, the police with the help of the locals admitted the injured persons in the district headquarters hospital of Medinapur. Their condition was critical, hospital sources said.
One of the deceased has been identified as Khirod Pradhan, while the identity of the other victim has not been confirmed, the sources said.
