2 Students Found Hanging In Odisha Amid Their Plus II & Matric Exams

Berhampur/Bhadrak: Two students were found hanging in separate incidents in Odisha’s Ganjam and Bhadrak districts on Friday amid their ongoing Plus II and High School Certificate (HSC) examinations in the state.

The body of Plus II science second-year boy was found hanging in his house at Suryanagar in Baidyanathpur area of Berhampur in Ganjam district in the morning.

Sources said the boy was reportedly caught resorting to malpractice during the examination at Khallikote College on Thursday.

As per reports, the deceased, who studied in a private college, was accused of cheating during the Physics examination. Further details are awaited.

In another incident in Bhadrak district, a Class X boy student was found hanging at Jahangir Sasan village under Dhamnagar police limits in the morning.

The boy reportedly stayed at his maternal aunt’s house and supposed to write English paper in the ongoing matriculation examination on Friday. However, his body was found hanging hours before the commencement of the English paper.

The deceased student has been identified as Abhishek Panda, son of Abhay Panda of Mayurbhanj district.

On being informed, Dhamnagar police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.
