Angul: Two women were found dead under mysterious circumstances at a poultry farm in Chandanpur under Bantala police limits in Odisha’s Angul district on Wednesday.
They have been identified as Buiani Nayak (55) and Bimala Nayak (50) of Sundargarh district.
According to sources, the two women were working at the poultry farm owned by Arun Singh. When they didn’t respond this morning, their colleagues rushed them to Angul district headquarters hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead.
It is being suspected that the women died after consuming spurious alcohol last night after dinner.
Police have registered two unnatural death cases on the basis of doctors report as none from their family has so far lodged a complaint. “The exact reason of the death will be known only after we receive the postmortem report. Appropriate action will be taken, if spurious alcohol is found to be the cause,” a police officer said.
