Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has selected 20 police personnel for the Award of Governor’s Medal for the year 2023 under different categories.
According to official sources, altogether 20 officials, including two in the rank of Inspector General of Police, have been nominated for the prestigious Governor’s Medal for their distinguished services ahead of the 75th Republic Day.
As per the list, IPS officer Himanshu Kumar Lal, IG of Eastern Range, Balasore and IPS Officer Shafeen Ahmed K, IG of CID, Crime Branch, Cuttack will be conferred with the Award of Governor’s Medal under the category-I (Additional DGP/IGP/DIGP).
Similarly, Ganjam SP Jagmohan Meena and Sambalpur SP Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo have been selected for the award under Category II (SP/AIGP/Commandant/Deputy Commandant).
