Jaipur: This is turning out to be quite a harsh monsoon.
Heavy and relentless rains are causing havoc and unprecedented devastation in a majority of the states across India.
On Saturday, nature’s fury didn’t even spare the Amer Fort.
A 200-feet-long wall of the historic fort in Jaipur collapsed amid heavy rainfall in and around the Pink City, PTI reported.
A video shared by the news agency shows the wall that caved in, and torrents of water streaming down the ancient structure.
A huge pile of debris is seen at the site, where the water is flowing down.

Amer Fort, also known as Amber Fort, is a majestic fort-palace located in Amer town, 11 kilometres from Jaipur. The fort, built with red sandstone and marble, remains a significant example of Rajput architecture and one of the most visited monuments in Rajasthan.
It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013 as part of the ‘Hill Forts of Rajasthan’.
