Mumbai: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has chopped several at least 23 scenes in Tiger Shroff’s ‘Baaghi 4’ despite issuing an ‘A’ certificate to the film.
After the editing, the film’s run time is 2 hours, 37 minutes and 5 seconds (157.05 minutes), as against initial run time of 2 hours, 43 minutes and 50 seconds (163.50 minutes), Bollywood Hungama reported.
Among the scenes asked to be deleted by the Examining Committee (EC) include — the hero standing on a coffin, a one-second shot where a character lights a cigarette from a ‘niranjan diya’, a 13-second-bit where a character lights a cigarette from an amputated hand, one where a character rubs his hand on a girl’s hip of a girl and a frontal nude scene was removed.
A scene where a knife is thrown towards the statue of Jesus Christ, throats being cut, hands being chopped, scenes where goons are being killed mercilessly with swords are among the other scenes which were deleted.
Inappropriate words such as ‘bhang b*****a’ were asked to be replaced.
Words such as ‘B****e’ and ‘fingering’ used by the police were replaced with ‘appropriate terms’.
In the dialogue, ‘Bhai tujhe condom mein hi rehna chahiye tha’, the word ‘condom’ was muted.
The sentence, ‘Tera wajood hi mit jaayega God’ was replaced with ‘Sab dekhte reh jayenge’.
‘Woh bhi darta hai mujhse’ was removed, while ‘Don khoke, ekdum ok’ was muted.
A few days later, the ‘Baaghi 4’ team approached the CBFC to get the film’s length trimmed further.
Directed by A Harsha, the upcoming action thriller is the fourth instalment in ‘Baaghi’ series. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt in a negative role, Harnaaz Sindhu, Shreyas Talpade, Saurabh Sachdeva, Upendra Limaye and Sonam Bajwa.
