Bhadrak: A 24-year-old youth, identified as Srikumar Swamy, lost his life in a sudden and brutal attack in Odisha’s Bhadrak on Sunday night.
According to sources, Srikumar was watching T20 World Cup final at home in the Gunthunia Bazar area under Bhadrak Town Police limits, when a group of youths reportedly called him outside. As he stepped out, he was ambushed and stabbed multiple times with sharp weapons. A profusely bleeding Srikumar was rescued by locals, who then rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
Expressing profound grief and outrage over the incident, Srikumar’s father demanded justice for his son.“I demand the harshest possible punishment for those who brutally and mercilessly killed my son. They targeted my child today; tomorrow, they will target someone else’s,” he said, adding that Srikumar supported the household, including his disabled sibling.
Meanwhile, Bhadrak Town Police has launched an investigation and detained 3 persons in connection with the attack.
