Bhubaneswar: Even as Odisha witnessed this year’s biggest spike in COVID-19 positive cases on Wednesday, 246 patients recovered from the disease and were discharged from hospitals in 23 districts.
Of the recovered patients, 74 were from Nuapada district, 35 from Khurda, 22 from Bargarh, 15 from Cuttack, 10 from Ganjam, 9 each from Balangir, Puri and Sundargarh, 8 each from Balasore and Kalahandi and 6 from Nabarangpur, according to Health and Family Welfare department.
The recoveries from other districts are ads follow:
5 each from Mayurbhanj and Sambalpur
4 each from Jajpur and Keonjhar
3 each from Angul, Jharsuguda and Kendrapada
2 each from Jagatsinghpur and Kandhamal
1 each from Koraput, Rayagada and Sonepur
7 from State Pool
The total recovered cases in Odisha now stand at 3,38,662 while there are 4,255 active cases including 791 positive cases on the day.
