Bhubaneswar: Odisha has reported 2854 new COVID19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the affected tally to 2,49,693 on Saturday.
According to I & PR department, 1659 are quarantine and 1195 local contact cases. These cases have been reported from all 30 districts of the state, which tested 45,914 samples on Friday.
Khurda reported a drop in infections with 393 new cases. It had been witnessing over 500 cases almost daily for the last several weeks with the highest single-day spike of 902 on September 26. Cuttack saw another 244 people testing positive for the virus.
