2nd Batch Of Rafale Fighter Aircraft Lands In India
New Delhi: The second batch of three Rafale combat aircraft arrived in India at 8.14 pm on Wednesday.
According to the Indian Air Force, the Rafale aircraft flew non-stop from Istres in France to land at Jamnagar. Those were accompanied by French Air Force mid-air refuelling aircraft. Now, the IAF has eight Rafales in service.
A team of experts led by Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Projects) was coordinating the logistics for the combat aircraft, manufactured by French company Dassault Aviation.
The first batch of five Rafale aircraft landed on July 29 and were inducted at Ambala Air Base to 17 ‘Golden Arrows’ Squadron on September 10.
