New Delhi: A total of 3,81,305 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in the country so far. Of these, 580 post-vaccination adverse events have been reported, the Health Ministry said on Monday.
A total of 1,48,266 beneficiaries received the jab till 5 pm on Monday.
“A total of 3,81,305 beneficiaries have so far been vaccinated (till 5 pm on Monday) as per provisional reports,” Manohar Agnani, Additional Secretary of the Ministry, said in a press briefing.
He said seven hospitalizations have been required on the first three days since the rollout of the vaccine in the country. Three were from Delhi and two of them have been discharged. One person fainted after vaccination and is under observation at Max Hospital, Patparganj.
In Uttarakhand, one person is under observation at AIIMS Rishikesh. One case has been reported in Chhattisgarh, and two in Karnataka.
“No case of serious/severe AEFI attributable to vaccination till date,” the additional secretary clarified.
