3 Buildings, 16 Plots Detected During Odisha Vigilance Raid On Ayurvedic College Principal

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Thursday unearthed disproportionate assets (DA) worth crores of rupees during simultaneous house searches at six locations linked to Prof Sudarshan Behera, principal of the Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital in Balangir.

During the search operation, Vigilance officials unearthed three multi-storeyed buildings, 16 plots in prime areas of Puri district, cash deposits worth Rs 50 lakh, three expensive four-wheelers, and other assets.

During the house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Dr Behera and his family members:

1.One G+3 residential building located at Sakhigopal Block Chhak, Satyabadi in Puri district.

2.One double-storeyed building located at Sriramchandrapur, Satyabadi in Puri district.

3.One building over plot No. 1723/588, Khata No. 1733/345 at Sorisiapada, Gop, in Puri district.

4.Sixteen plots in prime areas of Gop, Pipili, and Satyabadi of Puri district. The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/plots is being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.

5.Bank deposits Rs.50 lakhs.

6.3 four wheelers (Honda City 5th Gen ZX, Mahindra Scorpio & Toyota ETIOS Cross-G) and 1 two wheeler worth over Rs.32 lakh.

7.Postal, Insurance and other deposits are under verification.
