3 Terrorists Involved In Recent Attacks On Army Shot Dead In J & K’s Doda
Jammu: Three terrorists who were believed to be involved in recent attacks on the Army and police in Jammu & Kashmir were killed after a fierce gunfight between terrorists and security forces in Gandoh area of Doda district.
A huge cache of arms and ammunition, including US-made M4 carbine, have been recovered from the encounter site.
Additional Director General of Police J & K Vijay Kumar said that police, after receiving information about three terrorists, launched a search operation on Wednesday morning.
A gunfight ensued later in the day, which continued for hours, and ultimately led to the elimination of the militants.
Indian security forces have intensified operations to flush out terrorists in Doda, Rajouri and Poonch regions following a series of terrorist attacks.
A fortnight ago, an Army camp was attacked in which five soldiers and a special police officer were injured. Later, terrorists attacked a police camp and injured one policeman.
