3 Tribal Workers Die After Taking ‘Spurious’ Country Liquor In Odisha’s Angul
Angul: Three daily wage workers died reportedly after consuming spurious country liquor in the district late Sunday night.
The deceased were identified as Kaira Pradhan, Tukuna Pradhan and Sashi Bhushan Dehuri from Patharagada village under Purunakote police limits.
According to sources, the tribal youths were engaged in a house construction work on daily wage basis. On Sunday evening, they consumed country liquor after their work got over.
Soon after taking the liquor, initially Kaira fell ill and subsequently died. Later, Tukuna also succumbed.
As Sashi and another labourer Basudeb Pradhan complained of uneasiness, the family members admitted them in Angul District Headquarters Hospital.
Sashi died in the hospital while undergoing treatment on Monday morning. The condition of Basudeb was stated to be critical.
