300 Resource Persons From 25 ULBs Of Odisha Undergo Training On MUKTASoft App
Bhubaneswar: In order to implement Odisha government’s Mukhya Mantri Karma Tatpara Abhiyan (MUKTA) scheme, the training of representatives of 25 urban local bodies (ULBs) on its application has been started in Bhubaneswar.
Addressing the master trainers for rollout of the App on Tuesday, G Mathivathanan, principal secretary, Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) department said Odisha is the first state in the country to design a wage employment scheme in line with the MGNREGS. The scheme has undergone many changes based on the feedbacks received from ground.
“The prime objective of design and development of the app, MUKTASoft, has been to automate various processes adopted for implementation of MUKTA. The web-based application would be instrumental for streamlining the implementation and facilitating quick payment to the stakeholders,” he said.
Thanking e-GOV for designing the app, he said, “All of you selected for the training will serve as resource persons who would train others for effective implementation of MUKTASoft 1.0.”
MUKTA, the flagship programme of the government with its community-driven, participatory, and bottom-up approach, focuses on ensuring livelihood opportunities to the vulnerable urban workforce and migrant labourers in 115 urban areas of the state.
The government has designed and developed the web-based application, MUKTASoft for streamlining the implementation and facilitating quick payment to the stakeholders. The version-1 of the MUKTASoft application was introduced in Dhenkanal and Jatani municipalities on pilot basis.
The government has decided to roll out the MUKTASoft in 25 more ULBs that covers five municipal corporations, 14 major municipality towns and 6 NACs.
Total 300 resource persons from 25 ULBs have been selected for the training in five batches, informed Sarada Prasad Panda, Director, State Urban Development Agency (SUDA). The training programme would continue till October 13.
