Mumbai: The total number of cases in India jumped to 62,939 after more than 3,000 fresh new COVID-19 cases were detected in the past 24 hours. 19,357 have recovered so far and 2,109 have died.
Over 15 lakh tests have been conducted in India so far. The testing rate has been upgraded to 95,000 tests per day.
Leading the chart is Maharashtra with 20,228 cases, followed by Gujarat (7,796), Tamil Nadu (6,535) and Delhi (6,542).
