Bhubaneswar: Chief spokesperson on COVID-19 Subroto Bagchi on Friday told the media that the third coronavirus positive case is a 60-year-old man from Bhubaneswar.

“He had travelled to Delhi on March 7. During his stay in Delhi, he had visited Rewari in Haryana. He, his wife and daughter took the IndiGo flight 6E 2014 for Bhubaneswar on March 10,” he said.

On March 21, the person visited the outpatient department (OPD) of Kar Clinic here and was admitted to the ICU for a day on March 24 for pneumonia, Bagchi said.

On March 25, he consulted doctors at Capital Hospital, where his swab samples were sent for tests. The result was received on March 26 night, he added.

Bagchi said that the process to trace his contacts in the flight, Kar Clinic and the Odisha Legislative Assembly has begun and his wife, daughter and driver, who had come in close contact with him, have been home quarantined.

He also advised all those who had come in contact with him to undergo the 14-day self isolation process.
