Beijing: Around 40 students and staff of a primary school in China were injured when a security guard attacked them with a knife, official media reported on Thursday.
The incident happened at a school in southern Guangxi province, state-run China Daily said in a brief report.
Police have detained the alleged attacker, identified as a school security guard Li Xiaomin (50).
Three of the injured — the school’s principal, another security guard and a student — are reported to be in serious condition,
The immediate reason behind the stabbing spree that took place on Thursday morning was yet to be ascertained, PTI reported.
