42% Of New COVID Patients From Khurda; Active Cases Drop Below 10K
Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a marginal rise in daily COVID caseload as 993 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Among them, 138 are in the 0-18 yrs age group.
The state had seen 720 (including 96 children)new cases, the lowest in nearly fourth months, on Tuesday and 868 (including 104 children) a day earlier.
According to the I & PR department, 578 of the new cases are from quarantine and 415 are local contacts.
With these cases detected from 69,008 swab samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 1.43 per cent again 1.41 per cent the previous day.
Khurda district at 419 new cases accounted for 42 per cent of the caseload. The district continues to be in red zone 3564 active cases.
